November was a busy month! MADIP assisted fire victims from 3 fires and provided them with food, clothing, mattresses and boxsprings. We also provided food to low income children and their famility for Thanksgiving. Several emergency deliveries were made to those without oil, including a senior citizen, a mother with a newborn baby, and a single mother who was recently unemployed. Thank you to Stocker Oil, Michaud and Raymond Oil, and Holden Oil.
In December, we will assist more than 200 people with food, clothing, toys, and other basic needs such as oil and housing needs.
In October, we provided aid to seniors in need of electricity, a new bed, and moving expenses to a more handicap accessible apartment.
MADIP distributed the most aid since inception during fiscal year end June 2013. Energy accounted for 26 percent, Food was 24 percent, and clothing was $23 percent. The state and federal annual reports will be posted to this site as soon as they are finalized by our CPA.
Also, stay tuned for posting of a revised strategic plan to include a huge expansion and addition of our program services in order to have a bigger impact on the community and nonprofit sector.
We are pleased to announce that the Attorney General's office renewed our annual certificate to solicit in Nov 2013, showing that we are in good standing with reporting and fundraising requirements.
Thank you to Arthur McCarthy for his recent donation on behalf of the McCarthy Family Foundation.
In August, MADIP received the Cranney Companies monthly $1,000 nonprofit donation. We thank them for their support.
